Welcome to the visitor center at Skjærhalden or at Storesand.

At Skjærhalden, we have an exhibition about the national park at the visitor center in Kornmagasinet. Visitors can find brochures, paper maps, digital mapping services, information and literature about Ytre Hvaler National Park. Interactive screens and brochures can be found in the entrance hall.

At Kornmagasinet, visitors can get useful advice and tips on trips and activities in the national park. During the summer season, there is tourist information in the same building.

The visitor center offers nature interpretation programmes that are specially adapted for kindergartens and schools. There are many activities that are suitable for children: join the treasure hunt, take the detective trip, explore and experience the sensory boxes, make a drawing, and much more. We organize various events throughout the year and introduce the surrounding natural environment to a wide range of people.

In the Lilleputt Center at the harbor, there is an outdoor aquarium that is open in the summer, providing a glimpse into life beneath the surface of the sea.

At Storesand, visitors can explore the shoreline and learn more about what can be found in the coastal zone.
